The world's shortest international bridge
By kavefish | Filed Under Pictures
Allegedly, the island on the left is in Canada, the one on the right is in the United States. The smaller island contains the 'backyard' of the house on the larger island.

While it's fun to think that this is the world's shortest international bridge, these two islands actually make up the Zavikon Islands, two islands in the Thousand Islands archipelago on the St. Lawrence River between New York and Ontario. These islands are visible on Google Maps, and clearly show that both are inside Canadian territory.

An old postcard (pictured above) is suspect to be cause of the myth of the bridge being an international border crossing.
